CE Marking and
Appraisal 4.0

CE Marking and Appraisal 4.0: the integration that protects your investment.

Many companies approach CE compliance and Industry 4.0 incentive procedures as if they were two separate and independent processes, but they are not. Alignment between safety technical documentation and fiscal documentation is essential to safeguard the Industry 4.0 incentives obtained and face any audit with complete peace of mind. MTM Consulting has created a unified service that simplifies the management of this activity, integrating CE Marking and Technical Appraisal 4.0 into a single coordinated process.

The problem: compliance and incentives managed separately

In business practice, it often happens that the technical manager handles CE Marking while the accountant or an external expert handles the appraisal for the Transition Plan 4.0. The two documents are prepared at different times, by different parties, without anyone verifying the technical consistency between the machine’s risk analysis and the interconnection report. The result is documentation that, in the event of a fiscal audit, risks being challenged. MTM Consulting eliminates this risk by ensuring a single technical contact for both aspects.

How the MTM integrated service works

Our approach is structured around three coordinated pillars:

The impact of Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 on Industry 4.0 incentives

On January 20, 2027, the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 will enter into force, introducing mandatory cybersecurity requirements for digital control systems of machinery. Although it originates as a regulatory act on machinery safety, its impact directly affects the Tax Credit 4.0 and Transition 5.0.

Italian legislation on incentives indeed requires that machinery must always comply with the most recent safety parameters in force. Consequently, from January 20, 2027, the installation of a machine also entails a cybersecurity risk: if it is not compliant with the new Machinery Regulation, its Industry 4.0 eligibility may be challenged.

It therefore becomes essential to verify the proper integration of both aspects to ensure solid technical and fiscal compliance.
