2. What documents are required for CE marking of a machine?For CE marking of a machine, the following are generally required: technical file, risk analysis, user and maintenance manual, EC declaration of conformity and technical documentation relating to the components used.

3. Is Directive 2006/42/EC still valid in 2026?Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC will remain applicable until the full entry into force of the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. From January 20, 2027, the new Regulation 2023/1230 will replace Directive 2006/42/EC, introducing new requirements also related to cybersecurity, software and artificial intelligence.
