Risk Assessment – DVR and Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Risk assessment is the fundamental and non-delegable obligation of every Employer. This is established by Article 17 of Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Consolidated Law on Health and Safety at Work): no Employer may entrust this responsibility to others. The result must be an updated, clear, and complete Risk Assessment Document (DVR). What the DVR must contain
Article 28 of Legislative Decree 81/2008 precisely defines the mandatory contents of the Risk Assessment Document:
- Assessment of all health and safety risks present in the workplace
- Verification of CE compliance of the equipment used (Articles 70 and 71 of Legislative Decree 81/2008)
- Prevention and protection measures already implemented and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) adopted
- Planning of improvement interventions with deadlines and responsibilities
- Operating procedures and company roles responsible for implementing the measures
- Names of the RSPP, the competent physician, and the workers' safety representatives
The specific risks we assess

When the DVR must be updated
The DVR is not a static document: it must be updated whenever working conditions change, such as the introduction of new equipment, changes in production processes, changes in duties, or the reporting of new risks. MTM Consulting also offers a periodic review service for the existing DVR to ensure continuous compliance and prevent penalties in the event of an inspection.
