Cybersecurity training as a requirement of the Machinery Regulation.
The new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 introduces the obligation to protect control systems against accidental or intentional corruption. Following the specialized course in May 2026, MTM Consulting further explores the topic of industrial cybersecurity for machinery and plants with a technical module focused on the new evaluation criteria.
Why is the UNI EN ISO 12100 standard no longer sufficient?
While ISO/DIS 12100.2:2025 is the pillar for mechanical and physical risks, machinery cybersecurity requires the application of specific standards (such as the IEC 62443 series or UNI CEN ISO/TR 22100-4). In this 2-hour course, we will analyze how to integrate cybersecurity risk assessment into the technical file of machinery, using parameters different from the classic severity and frequency indices provided by the traditional standard.

- Threat analysis: How to identify vulnerable access points in software;
- Specific evaluation criteria: New developments introduced for cybersecurity risk assessment not covered by ISO/DIS 12100.2:2025;
- Compliance with the Machinery Regulation: Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR) relating to the protection of control systems against attacks or unauthorized modifications.

Note for participants: The course is also open to those who have not attended previous MTM modules, provided they have basic competence in machinery safety and the structure of ISO/DIS 12100.2:2025.
